Friends,
It hardly seems possible, but it has been just over 25 years since we introduced our format of classic and traditional country, bluegrass, gospel, and comedy. We feel that format has served us—and our community—exceptionally well.
However, it is now time for me to step away. A combination of factors, including personal and family health needs as well as rapid changes across the media and technology landscape, has led me to this decision. To facilitate this transition, WQAH-FM is being acquired by new ownership, subject to FCC approval.
As a result, our current broadcasting operations will conclude following our Sunday Gospel programming on Sunday, August 30th, at approximately 1:00 PM. This allows our team the necessary time to focus on our wind-down operations. Following the completion of the FCC approval process and final equipment tests, the station is scheduled to return to the air under its new ownership.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to our faithful listeners, our advertisers, and our dedicated employees and co-workers, both present and past. Most importantly, I thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who made this entire journey possible.
